Why do people keep saying Letterman was talking about Bristol and not Willow when he told his joke?

Here's the joke: "One awkward moment for Sarah Palin at the Yankee game. During the seventh inning, her daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez." Now, which daughter did Sarah Palin take to the game? 14 year old Willow...not Bristol. So who was Letterman referring to when he said "her daughter was knocked up"? OBVIOUSLY Willow because Bristol did not go to the game. Do you think Letterman and his writers knew Bristol did not go to the game?...sure, he did. @Free At Last, Because that would be incorrect. Letterman was talking about the daughter that Palin took to the game. Willow...the 14 year old.

21. I do believe that the writers and staff didn't know which daughter attended the game. They just saw an opportunity to make another Bristol joke, so they took it. Comic writers don't need to fact check. It's comedy, not a presidential press conference or an address to the United Nations. Spare me your false outrage, and just stick to racial epithets directed at the President, okay?

The unwed and pregnant daughter (whichever that one is) said on national television DURING THE CAMPAIGN last year, that "abstinence [for teens] is unrealistic", which is an endorsement for teenage consentual sex. Dave thought he was referring to the daughter who had "gotten knocked up", which would be the one who told national TV audiences that teaching abstinence in schools as the right-wings want is "unrealistic" for teenagers like herself, the pregnant one. By making a semi-illiterate and unintelligible "protest", Palin is attempting to keep herself in the limelight as a "family values" mom, hoping she can use this as an issue when she decides to run for office and to inflame right-wingers. She is vacuous...an "empty suit"...her looks can only take her so far and then she has to somehow have a brain to fall back on---this woman who did not know there were more than two partners for NAFTA and whose foreign policy experience consisted of being a "neighbor" in Alaska to Russia and Canada...lol...LOL. Nice try, propaganda team...we just aren't buying your horse feathers any more....lol lol lol. To pretend outrage and make use of her daughter to gain national attention...isn't this prostituting her offspring for the sake of political gain?

Maybe Alex Rodriguez missed abd inpregnated Dave's child rather than Sarah Palin's -- if Dave didn't get their first.
