Bristol vs Warwick (uni & accommodation worries)?
've accepted Bristol and Warwick uni for next year, but am unsure which to go with. I know they are both good uni's, but I have absolutely no idea which has the better social life (I've heard Bristol is wayyy "rah" and Warwick is quite boring, and therfore both suck. Great.) Also, which halls are best for both? Does anyone have an opinion on either?! Please help a very confused future student!

- I'm at Warwick doing a masters degree, but I did my undergrad at a different uni. I find Warwick really boring and rah, especially coming from a city-based uni. Warwick is in the middle of nowhere, and is a bit surreal because you effectively live in a little Warwick bubble as you go out there, shop there, etc. But I do know lots of people that enjoy it there... I have no experience of Bristol but know people who went there and loved it.
- Hey i live in coventry not so far from Warwick and i have friends that have been there.. it's a GREAT UNI! and is so impressive on job applications seriously you will be looked at differently if you could say you studied at Warwick uni .. im going to uni this year too but would not even attempt to get into warwick im far too dumb lol but yeh seriously if you've got the brains to go there then go for it.. warwick might be boring but the surrounding area's aren't and it depends what accomodation they give you if you are based near or in Coventry then the night life is great alot of great night clubs and tons and tons of cool bars which do all sorts of crazy and fun stuff!! just look into it but i deffinately give Warwick the thumbs up ... sorry i couldn't help about accomodation much i know that if you stay actually on campus in the uni then its like a complete different place to the rest of warwick its like its ony city/town sort of thing its that cool lol Good luck with everything!! = D
- I lived in Bristol for one year. I did not attend university there, but I lived in an area called Clifton that is very nice (the only area in Bristol I like) and full of university students. Bristol is not a big city, but it seems lively, especially the Clifton area and the areas near Clifton called Redland and Cotham Hill. The main streets in the above areas are called Whiteladies road and Park street; both are full of cafes and trendy pubs where a lot of students go. The problem with Bristol is that it is expensive, both accommodation and the cost of living. Cotham Hill is the student area where, comparing to Clifton and Redland, accommodation is cheaper.
