Poke barat Bristol Farms? Has anyone purchased anything from the "seafood salad" Poke bar at Bristol Farms? I'm curious... I'm a huge sushi fan and it looks good but at $13.99 a pound, I'd hate to buy it and not like it.
does bristol farms pay well? compared to other grocery stores. i work at albertson's as a liquor clerk and i know bristol farms sells liquor.
Do I still get interviewed at a job I previously worked for? I worked at Bristol Farms two years ago and I'm thinking about going back. I just want to know if I will still get interviewed anyway, even though I already worked there. Any advice? I worked at Bristol Farms as a Demo clerk two years ago. The manager that hired me is no longer there, so does that mean i will get interviewed for the job again?
Why is Trader Joe's so terribly vile and rundown? The people who shop there are generally trash.? It seems like only riffraff shop there, and I hardly ever see any cars more expensive in the parking lot than a Mercedes E-Class (my primary car would be at least twice as expensive as this). I went into the one here in Newport Beach and asked them where they kept the truffles, they directed me to some cheap chocolate truffles when I clearly was inquiring about the fungi! Why does my city council of Newport Beach allow this to operate in our neighborhood, this is bringing down my property values! BTW, you won't usually see me there, I usually only go to Whole Foods or to Bristol farms for a premium experience. Lately however, I haven't been to Whole Foods because they have refused to remove a vagrant that was loitering in front of the store.

Is there any high end markets in Las Vegas? I'm looking for a high end market like Gelsons, Bristol Farms (Southern california), Ajs(Arizona), Andronicos (Bay Area). Is there any high end markets in the Las Vegas area? Las Vegas has Whole Foods and Trader Joes. Are there any mid-range stores like Ralphs Fresh Fare or Pavilions?
does anyone kow a good place to pick blackberries in bristol? not a farm or anything, maybe blaise castle or something like that? any now of anywhere where wild blackberries grow? - i only know places in portsmouth, my home town. or is it too late in the year for blackberries now? i'm talking about Bristol in the UK

Are there any upscale grocery stores in Utah? Are there any upscale grocery stores in Utah, more specifically in Park City or Salt Lake City? I'm looking for stores similar to Dean & Deluca, AJ’s Fine Foods (in Arizona), Kowalski’s (in Minnesota), Andronico's (in Northern California), or Bristol Farms (in Southern California).
Where to buy Clarified Butter? I am trying to remember where I saw clarified butter for purchase, but now I cant seem to find a store that even carries it here in Long Beach, CA. I have tried all the local grocery stores, and even the more "high-end" stores like Bristol Farms Trader Joes..places like that. I cant find it. Anyone know where I can buy clarified butter in my area?
which is the best place to take the kids out for the day? I'm thinking of taking my 8 year old boy and 10 month old daughter to either noah's ark zoo farm in bristol or folly farm in pembrokeshire. Folly farm is a lot further to travel but it is a good day there if the weather is good. As i have never been to noah's ark zoo farm i was wondering what it is like there as i don't want to go there and there ain't much to do.
gobble gobble? Which markets sell the best cooked turkey, Whole Foods or Bristol Farms?
how much money do sushi chef make? im becoming s sushi clerk at bristol farms market and i was just wondering if i like it maybe in the Future i might wanna become one...
MY HUSBAND WANTS TO MAKE LOVE.? My husband REALLY want to make love. what should i do. i am really busy with flight school and all. he has work as a manager at bristol farms. he is attractive ( very much, he is muscular, german, blue eyes, thin! ) i asked him why he want to and he said because he misses it. the last time we did it was when we got married. ( July 31, 2008 ) so what should i do??
Smiths Market, Vons or Albertsons Market? While in Las Vegas which market is best? Vons, Smiths or Albertons. I don't like Wal Mart. I'm really looking for a Gelsons, Bristol Farms or Ajs Fine foods type of store. Whole Foods and Trader Joes are okay and not great. Every time that I'm in Las Vegas I notice that the grocery stores are not as nice as Los Angeles. For example the Vons stores in LA are nicer and carry more products. Smith which is owned by the same company as Ralphs feels like a different store.
What is good with Oatmeal? What are good things to put in my oatmeal?? I dont want to eat it just plain. I like buying good food, usually from places like Trader Joes, Bristol Farms, or Whole Foods...so feel free to name some ingredients that are harder to find or expensive. But it doesn't necessarly have to be a healthy bowl of oatmeal, just something that taste good!! Thank you
What's something fun to do on a Saturday? I'm going to my best friend's house today and i was wondering if you have any ideas of what we should do? We usually ride our bikes to Bristol Farms or Red Mango and again we'll probably do that today, but what else should we do? We are making a commercial also because i have to make a commercial for drama class, so if you have any ideas for that that would be great. I wanna do a commercial with artsy stuff and water and fruit. So yea.....maybe a recipe for us to make would be nice we could make something really cool or something. Or like we could watch old tv shows/movies like rugrats or something. So please help! thanks!
Does anyone else feel that Ralph's markets are going downhill? After entering my local Ralphs today I noticed a big change. They pulled out the Prime Meat counter and the live lobster tank. The store is old and outdated. Many name brand products can't be found at Ralphs anymore. In the future I plant to do my grocery shopping at Gelsons, Bristol Farms and Whole Foods. Ralphs is making a big mistake taking out their lobster tanks and prime meat counters. The Ralphs I go to is a Ralphs Fresh Fare. If Ralphs wants to compete for the upscale customer they need to improve. Ralphs is turning into another store like Jons. The Fresh Fare name is just a marketing gimick. Ralphs has the worst produce compared to the other stores. Even worse quality than Vons/Pavilions. Many people shop at Ralphs becasue fo the modern looking stores. People should know better and shop at Gelsons, Whole Foods and Bristol Farms. If a person can't afford the 3 high end stores mentioned they should consider going to Vons/Pavilions instead of Ralphs. Even some Albertsons stores are better than Ralphs.
Why can't I buy caviar with my food stamps? So I went out this afternoon to shop for some necessities at Bristol Farms. You know, caviar, French cheeses, a bottle of Cristal and some Belgium chocolates. Much to my horror the cashier told me in a haughty tone that I could not use food stamps to purchase these items. This hardly seems fair! Since Tyrone left with Lakeesha, I have been a single mom trying to make it in the world. Why do people hate single moms so much? gin, I am not a racist nor have I ever purchased bolgna, twinkies or powdered milk. Barefoot in the supermarket?? Leticia, I know what Bristol Farms is and if you noticed I only listed 4 items all of which are imported so you are just stating the obvious. I know GOD would understand!! He is after all, all knowing. Lil c is also pretty smart.
How would you handle rude customer service at Whole Foods market? While many people feel that Whole Foods market is the center of the universe I have to disagree. While shopping at one of their Southern California locations I have a story to tell. The other day I picked up some mini-bran muffins and they expiration date expred two days ago. I complained to the manager and told them that they should pull the expired muffins. The bakery manager said no sir! I said how rude! The store manager was just as rude to me and said that we must sell these expired muffins at full price to make a profit. After calling their reginal office to complain they said tell the store manager. There is a brand of crackers that I like that most Whole Foods makret stores carry. The location I shop at does not carry this brand of crackers. I spoke to the grocery manager and asked him if he could order me a few boxes or even a case. He said he doesn't have the time to place the order. He said I have to go and hung up the phone on me. 3 minutes ago - 3 days left to answer. Additional Details 1 second ago On numerous times I have come accross rotton produce at several Southern California Whole Foods stores. Many managers and store employees have been extremely rude to me and friends of mine as well. Whole Foods is poorly managed and I don't understand why they are so busy and packed with customers. I would ratehr slip my shopping between Gelsons, Bristol Farms and Trader Joes. The other day I went to another Whole Foods location and ordered a sandwhich and the carving station turkey was dried out. Often I will go into a Whole Foods location and they are out of stock of several items for weeks. After complaining on thier website no one from Whole Foods responds.
I went into my local supermarket looking for Pickled Watermelon Rhind.? Couldn't find it so I asked a beautiful older lady on the isle who laughed at me. She looked around for a camera until she realized I was serious. She never heard of it but she said, "oh honey, you need to go to Bristol Farms. I'm sure they would have it." A very high end market. So, I asked the Meat manager who went to the Store manager. Everyone was looking for Pickled Watermelon Rhind. How funny. My question is - have you ever had any weird shopping experiences? Or ones that made you feel kinda discriminated? I have all my teeth and nice lady probably had dentures. But... It's like I was asking for Possum meat.
Rehoming Bantam Chickens in Bristol/South West? Hi, I have 3 unusual Small Chickens, including one Japanese Bantam. My shifts/ work has changed and I no longer have the time to spend or give them the attention they need. They are very bright and friendly beautiful birds and I feel so bad that they have no one around during the day to pet them and keep them occupied. Because they are very small and fly fairly easily they are kept in a large pen, so cats etc cant get to them. I give them corn on the cob, grapes, lettuce and maggots daily before work, but by the time i get back the chickens are just stood in the same corner looking bored and sad as if they need something more than I can give them, and I guess that's attention :( I really want to find them a new home, but ideally at a city children's farm or a larger public animal centre where they can have attention/space etc. The main problem is that they will need to be in a very large dry roofed run outside or inside in a walk through barn type thing where they cant fly out. They have feathery feet and if they are left on a muddy ground too long it ruins these beautiful feathers and will make there feet sore. My heart sinks each time I get home and see them pacing the run up and down or huddled in the corner. I just cant give them the love and attention they deserve. Im just wondering if anyone knows of a children's city farm/larger animal organization that could offer them a loving home in and around the Bristol/south west area? I have thought about trade it etc but im really not keen as I wont really know if they are going to a better home and the persons reason for wanting them and I want them to stay together. Help! :(
Does anyone know any B+E trailer test centres in cheshire or near bristol? I am looking to do a trailer test so i can tow rowing boat trailers (they are usually too heavy to tow on a normal driving licence, plus looks better if i have a trailer towing licence). Does anyone know any test centres near Cheshire or Bristol and how much it costs to take the test, I am a farmers son, so fairly competent at trailer towing and can practice easily on the farm so just looking for a test centre, or one with a few hours tuition before taking the test
courtesy clerk salary? what is the starting pay for a courtesy clerk? at bristol farm what they do is putting the products on the bag or plastic and getting the grossary cart from the parking lot
Free kittens or low cost in CT? I'm looking for kittens in Connecticut, in other places than just shelters (people, farms, no pet store unless pet-smart adoption), but if you know that the there are kittens available in shelters then that would be fine too. No petfinder.com please. Already checked it out. Places near or in Bristol would be nice as well. I have already had 5 cats-2 i still have with us(2 and 18 years old) the others were 2 years old, 18 years old, and twenty years old when they passed away due to numerous health issues(esp. kidney failure) so we have plenty of experience wioth cats and take very well care of them with much love for theirENTIRE lives-we dont just get kittens becuz they are cute-just to clear that up -yes we do have a vet ofcourse
I want to live in a caravan? Looking to live in a static caravan in or around Gloucestershire /Bristol. Ideally either a site or on a farm etc? Any idea where to find out where people have these available. I want one of these so that I can save to buy land of my own.
can horses eat quaker oats? I'm leasing a horse over the summer and I ride Tuesdays and Thursdays alone, and Saturday is my lesson. I want to give my leasing horse a special treat. Last time I gave her carrots rolled in sugar. I'm wondering if I could give her bananas rolled in quaker oats. I really need to know!! Here's some information about the mare: she is a little taller than 16 hands, she's a Thouroghbred, and her age is between 16 and 21. I'm a ten year old girl who has been riding for almost 4 years at Oakendale Farm in Bristol. The horses' name is Whinnie.
Zoo/Farm hiding creationist roots!!!!? Just wondered if anyone else thought it was really bad that this place in bristol (see link) Noahs Ark Farm is a farm/zoo that although does not advertise it, is a big old Creationist park. When you go they preach to visiters about how god made all the animals! I mean fair enough, beleive what you want, but if you are going to lecture people about god, and make them pay to get in, you should at least advertise what you are planning to do, not draw in un-suspecting people, without telling them what they are coming to!!! Anyone else think this is very very sneaky? http://www.noahsarkzoofarm.co.uk/?gclid=CPeg67GMkJYCFQWR1Qoda2rxEg
Can the Farmers sue the Government for stolen stock by Eastern Europeans? Some months ago I heard some Polish/Romanian guys talking outside a cafe in Bristol, they were openly talking about rustling live stock from farms as a way of earning a fortune without any pressure or danger of being caught "as they put it" imagine my shock at hearing on the news this morning about hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of live stock being taken from farms in the UK, I know this kind of thing has gone on for years "but" never on this kind of scale, my question is though! should the government be sued for negligence in allowing these criminals in to our country in the first place? our farmers have a hard enough job of it as it already is without this added pressure, when I first heard these guys talking about rustling sheep and pigs I thought it was just drink talk, how mistaken was I? but if I had informed the police I probably would have been charged with racism or wasting police time, I suppose the bill for the thefts will all come back to the tax payers in the end, well done all you guys in the government for opening our borders so wide that any bandits from any country can just walk in and take whatever they like. Ive got news for you Barbara doll, no they f**king didn't, no one ever asked me if I wanted to join the EU or any one else for that matter.
Is the Earth's climate more sensitive to CO2 than the conservative IPCC indicates? Another new study indicates this. http://www.usgs.gov/newsroom/article.asp?ID=2358 The climate may be 30–50 percent more sensitive to atmospheric carbon dioxide in the long term than previously thought, according to a study published in Nature Geoscience yesterday. Projections over the next hundreds of years of climate conditions, including global temperatures, may need to be adjusted to reflect this higher sensitivity. “Climate change is affecting water supplies for cities and farms; leading to more severe droughts, hurricanes, and floods; contributing to more intense forest fires; and putting coastal communities at risk,” said Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar, who is on his way to the global climate change conference convening this week in Copenhagen. “This study and the ongoing work of our USGS scientists will help us continue to build more precise long-term projections and to prepare for the impacts of climate change on our world.” A team of scientists, led by the University of Bristol and including the U.S. Geological Survey, studied global temperatures 3.3 to 3 million years ago, finding that the averages were significantly higher than expected from the atmospheric carbon dioxide levels at the time. These underestimates occurred because the long-term sensitivity of the Earth system was not accurately taken into account. In these earlier periods, Earth had more time to adjust to some of the slower impacts of climate change. For example, as the climate warms and ice sheets melt, Earth will absorb more sunlight and continue to warm in the future since less ice is present to reflect the sun. The U.S. Geological Survey provided the reconstruction of environmental conditions during this timeframe, known as the mid-Pliocene warm period. These data allowed the authors to test the Earth system’s sensitivity to atmospheric carbon dioxide. “Earth is a dynamic system and climate models need to incorporate its multiple feedbacks as well as changes on both fast and long timescales,” said Dr. Dan Lunt, who is with the University of Bristol and was the lead author of this article. “This comprehensive outlook allows us to see how sensitive the climate really is to atmospheric carbon dioxide, resulting in more accurate long-term projections.” Good answers by Icarus, Dana, and Keith. Much appreciated! This is the kind of intelligent discussion sorely lacking in the majority of questions in this category.
why does my boyfriend always make fun of me? my boyfriend always makes fun of the way i speak because i come from bristol and he comes from ST. Helens and he keep going on about how I live on a farm and got a hay hat, and he really gets on my nerves by saying people from my area do witchcraft. want do u think??

where are good eating disorder clinics? I have relapsed twice now, and I'm at a loss as to how I can help myself this time. My idea was to see if I should go into a clinic such as Rhodes Farm, because I'm not at such a low weight that I should need to go to hospital. I would like it to be reasonably priced, so not Rhodes Farm as it's really expensive per day. I would prefer it if it was near Bristol, but I don't really suppose it matters. Thank you (: Oh and by the way I am fourteen. I'm sorry you think that about me even though you don't know me, you don't know what I've been through and you're just some stranger on the internet. Yes, Africans have it worse than me probably, but I give to charity, I can't do anything else about their problems. I have my own problems to sort out thank you very much. And now, if you have nothing better to say, go get a life. You obviously know nothing about anorexia. I feel sorry for Africans, but I do all I can by giving to charity and I can't do anything more.
Hi, does anyone know a good letting agents in the bristol area for farms and smallholdings? I'm looking for a long term let to start a small animal sanctuary for farm animals and pet animals. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm based in Bristol and am keen to stay here although the area is expensive compared to say Wales. There is a gap here in Bristol for a good all round sanctuary. Any help, advice?? How to find a property etc. I've used the net extensively but I think this is something you need to have the specifics for.
WHY is my daughter is still soiling herself at 7? My daughter will be 7 next month and is still soiling herself. When she was 4 I thought it could be encopresis and did my research, kept diaries, saw consultants (who first told me to try regular toilet times, drinking pure juices) then about a year later another consultant prescribed Movicol, tried that, made it worse, completely uncontrolable, even with one sachet. Another year on the prescribed Movicol again, this time it did nothing what so ever, she just soiled herself as usual. We're tried star charts, rewards, presents, days out, taking her favourite toys away, making her clean herself up, sending her to bed, not letting her out to play, no sweets, no TV, no DS.........the list is endless. She is quite happy to sit/play in dirty clothes (the other day it was all up her back, up her front, down her legs and she didn't care), and if she needs a wee, she's go to the toilet completely ignoring the fact that she has soiled herself. She is not constipated, she goes once a day, it's nice and soft (Number 4 on Bristol Stool chart) and it doesn't hurt when she goes. When she does go on the toilet, I make a HUGE fuss, give her treats and extra long cuddles which she likes. She has admitted to not going when she needs to, but why won't she just go? Last week she was at my sisters all day whilst I was at work. I sent her each day in a skirt with no underwear on. She was clean all day and went to the toilet whenever she needed to go, cleaned herself and carried on playing. Today she had dance practice so obviously she had to wear underwear. When she got home she had a small mark in her underwear (indicating she didn't go straight away when she needed to go). The after she'd played outside for a while and had dinner I caught a smell of something..........she'd completely filled her undewear and it smelt like a farm - seriously. So I cleaned her up and sent her to bed. One particular time I was sitting at the dinner table (writing) whilst she was colouring next to me and I smelt something. She was only stood there pooing and colouring at the same time. She is a happy girl, has plenty of exercise (tap dancing, ballet, stagecraft, gymnastics, disco dancing, swimming) she loves PE at school, has LOADS of friends at school. She eats a very healthy diet, and drinks a lot squash/water. Her little brother was clean and dry day and night at 2 yrs 4 months. Now 3, he has now begun to notice and comes up to me telling me that he can smell her. One of my daughter's friends who we see outside of school always tells me that she thinks my daughter has soiled herself (and she's always right) I'm worried that she'll have no friends before long as eveyone will notice she smells and what she does. I get so frustrated 4 days being clean then as soon as she wears underwear she soils......she thinnks it's a nappy i'm sure. I've threatened nappies but it didn't work. I've run out of ideas! Help!
what can i do to help me get a place in university? im currently in my second year of my GCSE's and i have my heart set on becoming a veterinary surgeon. however i know that the places are in high demand and the whole business is very competitive so, qualifications aside, what could i do to make it easier for me to get a place in a university? I've looked at some universities and I like the RVC and bristol university, i've already had a small amount of experience working with animals as i had a volunteer job at a an adventure park farm last summer and i hope to go back this year.
